Functional Fitness – Wave-fit

Our Wave-fit classes are FUNCTIONAL.  What does that mean?  It means being able to complete the everyday tasks of life efficiently and potentially without pain.  It can also mean being able to do extraordinary things… like trying that sport you always wanted to try, hiking the Appalachian Trail, riding the Great Divide, swimming in the ocean, learning to paddle board, or getting back on a bicycle.  It means being able to pick up your grandchildren when you’re 98.  It means getting on and off the toilet unassisted for the rest of your life.  Sound good?  Yep, we thought so too.  Remember that everyone is capable of our workouts – they are scaled to where you are and progress as you do.

We employ a lot of body-weight movements in our Wave-fit classes but also use equipment to increase the level of difficulty and the level of progression.  We use Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Barbells, Medicine Balls, Jump Ropes, Rowers, Bikes, Boxes, Bands, Weights and a rig for gymnastics just to name the basics.

Legends

Our Legends class is designed for seniors.  We still use all the same great movements and equipment, it’s just scaled to be appropriate for people 65 and over.  We currently do not have anyone in this class as they all love being in the mixed-age group class.  We will open the Legends class as soon as we have a demand.  🙂
